Greece

A couple of weeks ago, I asked my husband to name a country. "Greece!" was the enthusiastic answer, thinking of white sand, blue seas, and potential holidays. Not yet! But we could visit via our dining room table...

Ready to play!
First up was a trivia quiz on Greece, that we both felt confident about. Oops! Thankfully I won, but only just. Jaime's knowledge was better, but I was faster at guessing ;)

Home made tzatziki and freshly bought hummus
Green salad with roasted tomatoes and feta cheese
Lemon chicken, lemon rice, roast red peppers, and carrot and cucumber sticks
The menu was also tricky to sort out. The stereotypical dishes in Greek cuisine are not exactly favourites in our house (lamb, olives, Ouzo, vine leaves...). Thankfully google pointed me towards a yummy lemon, chicken, and rice dish, which went down very well.

Finally we watched For Your Eyes Only, both in tribute to the late Roger Moore, and because it was set and filmed in Greece (the other options were Troy or Mama Mia).

All in all it was a lovely afternoon, and it was very nice to experiment a bit. Next stop: New Zealand!
